When I joined Velocitii in early January, one of the things I was surprised and excited to discover is the diversity of thought and background that already exists in our team.
This hasn't come about through 'diversity-for-the-sake-of-diversity', but because we believe there's a richness and creativity of thought that comes from having a team of different thinkers with different life experiences. This is something we try to put into practice every day, as part of how we recruit and develop our team.
To get the full measure of this, we decided to conduct a quick survey of the team to allow us to see where we are now - and where we need to be.
The results reinforced that we have a brilliant and diverse team from a range of ages, backgrounds, nationalities, genders and religions. However, we know we still have some work to do, which is something I will be focussing on in my role this year and will talk about in future blogs.
We've put together the following infographic to visually encapsulate the results of the survey. The plan is to come back to this in a year or so to see how things have changed and gauge how far we've come.
